Puffing Billy Railway introduces an exciting new experience under the stars; Twilight Trains, operating every Thursday evening from 10 October 2024. Offering a 3.5-hour return journey from Belgrave to Lakeside, the Twilight Train is perfect for those looking to experience the charm of Puffing Billy at dusk. Passengers can take in breathtaking views of the Dandenong Ranges while sitting on the carriage sill*, their legs dangling, as they travel to the Lakeside Visitor Centre, surrounded by the soft, fading light of the day.

- Parking is available in the Belgrave Metro Station Car Park which features 640 car parking spaces and 16 accessible car parking spots and is located just minutes from our Belgrave station. Enter via Belgrave-Hallam Road/Bayview Road/Old Monbulk Road Roundabout in Belgrave. People with accessibility requirements can use the drop-off zone at Gate 4.

- Trains will NOT be cancelled due to inclement weather.

- Puffing Billy Railway reserves the right to request proof of age. Children 15 years and under must be supervised by an accompanying adult. An adult is deemed to be any person aged 16 years or older.
- You must include Children under 4 years of age in your booking request. Children under the age of 4 years old travel free when not occupying a seat on excursion trains, however they still need to be included in your request and in your final numbers. This excludes events and dining experiences.
- On declared Fire Danger rating days of Extreme or Code Red in the Central Zone or the whole state of Victoria, no trains will operate. Please contact the operator for more information
- On declared days of TOTAL FIRE BAN or other extreme weather events in the Central Zone or the whole state of Victoria, steam locomotives will not run. Instead, the train will be operated with a diesel locomotive.
- Puffing Billy Railway reserves the right to email or text your customers for information relating to their visit to the Railway. Please contact the operator for more information
- Should Puffing Billy Railway be unable to run a train, an alternate date will be offered. If another date is not suitable, a full refund will be given. * Notice will be given via contact information provided at the time of booking.
- Puffing Billy Railway is a non-BYO venue. Alcohol is not permitted on the train, except as provided in our dining cars.
- All visitors to the railway must agree to follow instructions and directions from all Puffing Billy Railway staff and volunteers.
- Due to the narrow carriage doors, Puffing Billy highly recommends that you bring a small, folding-type stroller or pram for your trip onboard the train. For you to have the pram with you in your carriage, it must fit underneath the seats. Prams that don't fit underneath the seats of the carriages will be stored in a different carriage and will be available for you when the train stops at your destination.

Cancellation Policy
- Tickets are non-refundable nor transferable
- Whilst every attempt is made to honour all bookings, the operator reserves the right to alter events, timetables or locomotives without prior notice
- Trains and events will NOT be cancelled due to inclement weather
- On declared days of TOTAL FIRE BAN in the Central Zone or the whole State of Victoria, steam locomotives will not run, instead the train will be operated with a diesel locomotive
- On declared Fire Danger Rating days of Extreme or Code Red in the Central Zone or the whole State of Victoria, the operator will close with no trains running
- Should the operator be unable to run this train or an event, they will endeavour to transfer your booking to another date. However, if this is not possible, a full refund will be given. In this instance, they will notify you of the cancellation by email and/or phone as soon as possible

- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present it on day of the experience. We also accept digital copies presented on a mobile device
- Concession fares are available to Australian bearers of Health Care, Student, Seniors, Companion, Pensioner Card or New Zealand Gold Card. Please ensure you have this available to present upon entry
