Day 1: Cradle Mountain World Heritage Area

*Departs Launceston 7.30am, Returns Launceston 6.00pm (Overnight Launceston: accommodation by own arrangement)

• Explore Cradle Mountain National Park (4-5 hours)
• Stand on the shore of the spectacular setting of Dove Lake
• Enjoy an easy, guided introductory walk to Pencil Pine Falls mountains.
• Take on the Dove Lake Circuit walk (Easy, 6km’s, 2-3 hours)
• Or, take on the harder walk to Marion’s Lookout (medium, 3 hours)
• Explore the historic Weindorfers Chalet
• Visit Sheffield the ‘Town of Murals’ an outdoor art gallery
• Enjoy a delicious stop at Van Dieman’s Land Ice Creamery & Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm.

Day 2: Launceston to Hobart via Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park

• Departs Launceston 7.30am, Returns Hobart 6.00pm (bring your bags today!) Overnight: Hobart (accommodation by own arrangement)

• Day 2: Highlights Explore Freycinet National Park

• Walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout

• Optional: extend your walk to Wineglass Bay Beach

• Visit beautiful Honeymoon Bay

• Take in the spectacular views on the Cape Tourville Lighthouse Walk

• Visit historic Campbell Town and the Convict Brick Trail.

• Visit Devils Corner Winery-seafood, wine, pizza, ice-cream

Day 3: Port Arthur & Tasmanian Devils

• Departs Hobart at 7.30am, Returns Hobart 6.00pm Finishes in Hobart (drop off back to your hotel)

• Visit Port Arthur Historic Site

• Explore the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo

• Experience the ferocious action of a Tasmanian Devil feeding!

• Photograph spectacular views from the Waterfall Bay Cliff Top Walk

• See the Tasman National Park highlights–Devils Kitchen & Tasman Arch

• Enjoy the stories from Pirates Bay Lookout, Eaglehawk Neck & The “Dogline”

• Visit historic Richmond Village

Time

• On day one, the tour starts from Launceston from the Hotel Grand Chancellor, 29 Cameron Street, Launceston. Please be ready for pick up at this location at 7.20am
• Tour departs Monday & Wednesday
• Finishes day three at Hobart at approx 6pm

What To Bring

• A day backpack
• Refillable water bottle
• Closed, sturdy shoes for walking (runners, sneakers, hiking boots)
• Sensible clothes for outdoor conditions (warm layers are a great idea!)
• A waterproof jacket, just in case.
• A sunhat and beanie
• A sense of adventure!
• Optional: Swimmers and a towel. There’s an opportunity for a refreshing dip on our Wineglass Bay Tour

Additional Information

• Children under 8 years are not permitted on this tour
• Requires good mobility and adequate fitness
• Minimum number of 4 passengers to operate. Tour vehicles range in size from a maximum seating capacity of 13 passengers or 20 passengers
• You will have an opportunity to stop en route to the National Park to purchase lunch/snacks to take along with you for your tour day. This stop is in a regional town at a local Bakery. The selection includes sandwiches, rolls, wraps etc. If you have special dietary requirements or prefer other choices, you may wish to come prepared with your own food of choice. Lunch will be in a picnic area at Freycinet National Park
• Guests should be able to load and unload own luggage
• Main luggage will be stored in the vehicle trailer throughout the day. All gear needed for the day should be carried in a day pack onboard the tour vehicle.
• This tour is an active day tour and an excellent way to maximise travel time in Tasmania

Cancellation Policy

• You must provide a minimum of 48hrs notice of cancellation. 48 hours or less prior to tour departure time or no shows - 100% fee applies, no refunds applicable, for any reason.
