What you need to know
Location
Have you always dreamt about learning how to surf? Book in a two hour surf lesson at Torquay and make your wish a reality. The Great Ocean Road in Victoria is the surfing capital of Australia and Torquay is a safe beach for beginners to learn the basics thanks to expert instruction and guidance. By the end of the two hour surf lesson, you'll be up on your feet learning how to ride your very first wave at one of Australia's most beautiful beaches. Not only are Torquay surf lessons a fun thing to do in Victoria but you'll walk away with a lifelong skill.
Head to the Go Ride A Wave Shop at 10 am to meet your instructors and get kitted up with a full length wetsuit and surfboard.

Highlights

- Torquay is a safe beach, is home to beautiful clean water and known as one of Australia’s most iconic surf destinations, a perfect location to learn to surf
- You will be provided with a full length Quiksilver wetsuit and a soft beginner surfboard and walk to the beach
- The lessons will begin on the sand with a safety briefing and some basic surf instruction
- Lessons will be held in waist deep water
- Once you have a feel of the water and the board your guide will take you from the waves and back on to the sand for more instructions about how to stand up
- The rest of the lesson will be spent in the water with the instructor helping everyone to stand up on a wave
Time
- Departure from shop front at 10am
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of your lesson
- Closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
