Edith Falls was spectacular. Katherine Gorge river cruise was very informative and well worth the trip. Nitmiluk information centre was cool and comfortable with a fabulous lunch and welcome relief from a very hot day. The stop at Emerald Springs roadhouse for dinner was delicious and the bus driver Mal was very friendly. Awesome day.
Long great day out. Beautiful scenery. Nice lunch.

Great day out. Katherine Gorge is just beautiful. Lunch was nice & simple. It's a very long day. Be prepared for that. But its worth it. Oh I had no phone reception with Optus out there. Only Telstra had reception with what I heard from the others on tour.

Great day trip to see one of Australia's natural wonders.

Long, long day with a 6am start. a bus that was broken and having to wait for another one 45 minutes! In saying that, it was only low moment of a wonderful day. At least was still in Darwin. Fabulous and very informative driver- Malcolm. Stop off at Adelaide River war cemetery, sombre yet beautiful. Great morning tea stop and chance to stretch legs at Mayces. Lunch overlooking Gorge, good selection and then off on to the boat for a trip down majestic gorges. Boat guide was fabulous, learnt some Indigenous cultural facts and Dreamtime stories all about the area. Off first boat and a 400m walk in to the next gorge and another boat ride- just breathtaking! All in all 2 hours in the Gorge. Long drive back and a tea stop at The Lazy Lizard- Outback pub before arriving back in Darwin at 9.15pm.

One of the best trip for this year

One of the best trip for this year! Very informative guides and lots of interesting trivia learned. The weather was great and the tour of the old towns and gorge was very memorable. The food provided was great too.

An excellent day although very long

An excellent day although very long. Picked up on time, polite welcoming staff. Driver all day was excellent and informative . Breaks were good as you needed to stretch legs. Katherine Gorge cruise stupendous, well worth the trip. I could have done without the dinner stop on the way home and been home earlier but recognise that this might be too much for the driver. A wonderful experience.

My husband and I had a great experience on the Katherine Gorge trip

My husband and I had a great experience on the Katherine Gorge trip. Our driver Paul gave us informative commentary, kept things on time without being pushy and was generally really helpful. The only criticism we had was we didn't think the lunch we ate at Katherine Gorge was up to much.

The cruise on the Gorge was definitely the highlight of the day.

The cruise on the Gorge was definitely the highlight of the day. Very entertaining driver - a must on such a long, long day as most of the day is spent on the bus and Paul did his best to make it an enjoyable trip. Only quibble with the tour is that the information received on the itinerary states that drop off at the hotel is around 8:30pm when in actual fact it was 10pm before I got off the bus (our arrival back in Darwin was about 9:30 but my hotel was near the end of the list). With the time the tour leaves Katherine there is no way 8:30 is even a possibility.

Oh boy

Oh boy, where do we start. Lets start with Paul our driver - he was on the go from our 6am pickup. Loads of energy with a coach load of tourists. Great Paul, you put the spark in our day. Our first stop was the WWII Cemetary at Adelaide River, then onto Emerald Springs truck stop where the owner Dallas makes the most delicious scones. Freshly made. Mouth watering. Then onto Edith falls, but time was short there this tour as we were behind schedule, but that meant, when we got to Katherine Gorge for lunch and our gorge boat tour we had the required time to take it all in. The scenery here is amazing and the staff at Katherine Gorge are amazing too. A must see. Then it was time to leave, and make our way back to Emerald Springs for dinner (you see this was a loooong day - we got back at 9.30pm), so stopping for dinner was a must and we weren't disappointed. Again, thanks Paul for making our day special.

We had an enjoyable day trip to Katherine gorge

We had an enjoyable day trip to Katherine gorge. The bus driver was very informative. Katherine gorge was spectacular. Food stops were all good. Although a very long day the bus was very comfortable and air-condtioned. AAT were very professional. Pick up was on time. Would have no hesitation to recommend this trip to other travellers.
