Take part in one of the Aussie outback's most iconic experiences with a camel ride in Alice Springs through the amazing red heart of the country. Join your friendly guides and hop on the back of one of the calm and patient camels to head out on a journey past Ironbark and Mulga trees, vast clay flats, and plenty of rugged scenery including spectacular views across the magnificent MacDonnell Ranges. Keep an eye out for native wildlife symbolic of both the outback and Australia as a whole including kangaroos, wallabies, budgies, lizards and more.

With friendly and knowledgeable local guides who know all the essentials of the Alice Springs region, you'll be able to ask any questions you may have throughout, and grab a bunch of memorable photos to commemorate your time on camel-back. You'll no doubt be surprised how relaxing a camel ride truly is - allowing you to simply sit back, enjoy the trip and soak in the incredible untouched surroundings of Australia's Red Centre.

My daughter and I went on the hour long camel ride after being picked up at our hotel by Kat the tour guide. It was a dream come true for me and everything I had hoped for. We did a sunset tour and not only was the ride wonderful but the sunset was stunning. The camels are magnificent and all have individual personalities. We asked Kat a lot of questions about camels and their habits and she was happy to explain everything to us. If you do nothing else at Alice I thoroughly recommend that you take this tour.

The staff member that picked me up was on time and very friendly

The staff member that picked me up was on time and very friendly. She was happy to answer questions and happy to talk about the camels. Upon arrival the camels were ready to go and the staff were very happy to help in anyway they could. The walk itself was amazing and had fantastic views. The staff were more than happy to wait whilst I had a look around afterwards before transferring back to the hotel.

We had a fantastic time

We had a fantastic time . Sarly our camel was very gentle and very soft to touch . We were on the last camel and he kept walking beside the other one so we had a good view not just the back of everyone else.

We were collected from our Hotel at 2 pm and arrived at the Camel place for a 2.30 pm camel trek

We were collected from our Hotel at 2 pm and arrived at the Camel place for a 2.30 pm camel trek. It lasted for an hour and was very "different" and we both really enjoyed it. I was impressed at how much the young guy who led us seemed to love the camels and they all had different names and personalities. Ours was called "Ruby" and she was around 15 years old. They are very placid and although we were pretty high up it didn't take long to feel very comfortable and really enjoy the experience.

It was a fun camel ride for someone who had never been on one

It was a fun camel ride for someone who had never been on one, but by bad luck we got a rainy sunset tour. I will do it again on a sunny dat next time! The staff were also great too.
